Prevent Child Abuse North Dakota (PCAND) is a 501(c)³ not-for-profit organization and Chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America that is dedicated exclusively to the prevention of child abuse and neglect. PCAND, formerly known as the North Dakota Committee to Prevent Child Abuse and Parents Anonymous, has been working to prevent child abuse and strengthen families in North Dakota since 1978.

Mission:

Prevent Child Abuse North Dakota is committed to a safe and nurturing environment, free from abuse and neglect, for all children.

What do we do to support our mission?

• Inform the public that the prevention of abuse and neglect decreases lifelong adverse medical and emotional consequences for children;
• Advocate for a continuum of services, access to those services and statewide capacity to meet the developmental needs of children and families;
• Deliver evidence-based strategies that enable communities to provide for children and families.
