Teaching caregivers how to recognize and support children’s healthy sexual development

NHSDCare for Kids is a comprehensive community approach to fostering healthy sexual development in early childhood, which includes training for parents, early childhood educators, and children ages 3 through 8. Nurturing Healthy Sexual Development (NHSD) is a companion training for those implementing Care for Kids; it is also a training that can stand alone as an introduction to the topics of healthy sexual development and sexual abuse prevention.

PCAND has presented the NHSD workshop to Head Start programs, Children's Advocacy Centers, and Child Care Associations across the state.
